crash or other emergency related to the race or race course area:
- To insure the safety of riders, spectators and local residents, VEC will have controlled access of the streets that the race course follows.
(See map of the race course)
- VEC will have marshals at all corners and intersections around the race course. Marshals will promptly notify the proper medical personnel in
the event of an accident or event that requires medical attention. NOTE: Some of the Marshals will be equipped with two-way radios. (See map of the
race course for the location of the marshals.)
- The First Aid tent will be set up near the start/finish area located in the green space on Tenacity. Ryan Hayle will be the paramedic on site.
- VEC will contact a local ambulance company and the Longmont United Hospital to inform them of the event.
- VEC club members will do everything possible to promote a safe event for the participants, pedestrians, spectators and the local residents.
