Course Description: Half mile, L shaped course with safe corners located downtown Prospect.

Registration: ACA license required – must be presented at registration. One day licenses are $10. $30 entry fee, juniors race free in junior categories, $10 for each additional race.
Mail a completed ACA entry blank (for each race entered) and check to "Vic's Espresso" - 3070 17th St., Boulder, CO 80304. $5 late fee for race-day reg. and entries postmarked after August 4th.
Race-day Registration opens at 6:00am and closes 30 min prior to each category start. Pre-registered racers must check in 30 min prior to start.

Awards Ceremony: Podium Model Tracy Martin will present flowers and awards on podium near start/finish area 20 minutes after each race

Race Info & Rules: Wheel Support will be wheel in wheel out. Bring your own wheels. Free lap rule applies. Race will run in all conditions unless unsafe for participants.

Prize List: $15,000 in Cash and Merchandise. Tentative contributors include: Sugoi, Allegro Coffee, Vic's Espresso, Trans Martial Arts, Full Cycle, Fiori Flowers, Giro, Jainken Sushi, Solar Yoga, Two Dog Diner, Tusk Lounge, Hair Cafe, The Nest, Jaguar Cleaning, Grey Bee, Izzy, Wilton Armentale and more.

Results: posted on www.americancycling.org Prizes will be distributed near start/finish area. 45 min after race completion and result final.

Parking: Available off of Kristy Ct behind Vic’s Espresso and off Neon Forest Cir directly behind the Tusk Lounge. Both visible from hwy 287

Directions:
Denver: Hwy 25 North. Left on CO-52 (Exit 235). Right onto US-287. Left onto Tenacity Dr. Follow signs to parking one block.
Fort Collins: Hwy 25 South. Right onto CO-119 W (Exit 240). Left onto S Main ST/ US-287. Right onto Tenacity Dr. Follow signs to parking one block.
Boulder: CO-119 N/ Diagonal Hwy into Longmont. Right onto S Hover St/ 95th St. Left onto Pike Rd. Right onto Kristy Ct and follow signs to parking.

Marshall Plan:

During the August 8th, 2009 Prospect Criterium, the Vic's Espresso Cycling Team (VEC) will implement the following plan to accommodate pedestrians and automobiles around the race course:

1. To insure the safety of riders, spectators and local residents, VEC will have controlled access to the local streets. (See map of race course.)
2. VEC will have marshals at all corners and intersections around the race course. (See map of the race course for the location of the marshals.)
3. To gain access to driveways and alleys, people will simply have to notify the closest marshal. Marshals will direct them to the safest route to or from the parking areas. In most cases, people will be able to access these areas, in a couple of minutes or less.
4. Race Ahead signs will be located before all controlled interscetions around the race course to warn pedestrians and drivers.
5. VEC club members will do everything possible to promote a safe event for the participants and to accommodate pedestrians and the local residents.

Prospect Criterium Emergency Plan:

During the August 8th, 2009 Prospect Criterium, the Vic's Espresso Cycling Team (VEC) will implement the following plan in the event of an accident, crash or other emergency related to the race or race course area:

1. To insure the safety of riders, spectators and local residents, VEC will have controlled access of the streets that the race course follows. (See map of the race course)
2. VEC will have marshals at all corners and intersections around the race course. Marshals will promptly notify the proper medical personnel in the event of an accident or event that requires medical attention. NOTE: Some of the Marshals will be equipped with two-way radios. (See map of the race course for the location of the marshals.)
3. The First Aid tent will be set up near the start/finish area located in the green space on Tenacity. Ryan Hayle will be the paramedic on site.
4. VEC will contact a local ambulance company and the Longmont United Hospital to inform them of the event.
5. VEC club members will do everything possible to promote a safe event for the participants, pedestrians, spectators and the local residents.
