Registration: ACA license is required must be presented at registration. One day licenses are $10. Entry fee is $30; juniors race free in junior cat-egories; $10 for each addition-al race. Mail a completed ACA entry blank (for each race entered) and check to Vic’s Espresso 3070 17th St., Boulder, CO 80304. $5 late fee for race-day registration and entries postmarked after August 4th. Race-day Registra-tion opens at 6:00am and closes 30 min prior to each category start. Pre-registered racers must check in 30 min prior to start.

Awards Ceremony: Podium Model Tracy Martin will present flowers and awards on podium near start/finish area 20 minutes after each race.

Prize List: $10,000 in Cash and Merchandise. Race Info & Rules: Neutral Wheel Support will be provided by ROLL/ACA wheel support. Bring your own wheels. Free lap rule applies. Race will run in all conditions unless unsafe for participants.

Results: At americancycling.org Prizes will be distributed near start/finish area 45 min after race completion and result final.

Parking: Available off of Kristy Ct behind Vic’s Espresso and off Neon Forest Cir directly behind the Tusk Lounge. Both visible from Hwy 287

Directions:

Denver: Hwy 25 North. Left on CO-52 (Exit 235). Right onto US-287. Left onto Tenacity Dr. Follow signs to parking – one block.

Fort Collins: Hwy 25 South. Right onto CO-119 W (Exit 240). Left onto S Main St/ US-287. Right onto Tenacity Dr. Follow signs to parking – one block.

Boulder: CO-119 N/Diagonal Hwy into Longmont. Right onto S Hover St/ 95th St. Left onto Pike Rd. Right onto Kristy Ct and follow signs to parking.

The course for 2010 promises to be fast and technical. The 1km “L” shaped layout is both challenging for competitors and exciting for spectators without sacrificing safety for any involved.

Attention to details sets this criterium apart from the pack. Whether it is the state-of-the-art photo finish results produced by the national level race timer, the spectacle of the podium experience with trophy models, champagne and all the trimmings, or simply the fact that there is ample parking provided for easy entry and exit, every part of the experience is given the attention and care you would expect at national caliber races.

At its soul, the criterium is an urban experience that draws its energy and character from its location. Unlike so many Colorado races held in nondescript parking lots, the Vic’s Espresso Criterium is run in the heart of downtown Prospect NewTown, recognized in the national press as one of the “coolest neighborhoods
in the US.”

In keeping with European tradition, this race is at the heart of a true community festival with activities like face painting and inflatable castles for the kids, a beer garden for the adults, and a wide variety of local
and regional vendors adding their unique flavors to the event.

The State Championship has the advantage of drawing a regional audience while generating greater interest and local turnout due to the prestige of the event.

As a family friendly event, the demographic evenly represents men, women and children.

Cycling culture in the US is a fast growing market that draws a decidedly affluent and educated crowd.

The 2010 Vic’s Espresso Criterium promises to be one of the best Colorado races of the year. We are currently accepting applications from like-minded businesses who would like to benefit from the premium advertising space and community interaction offered by the event.
